March Madness Giveaway...

I know it seems like forever since our last giveaway, but the wait was well worth it! We have 1 AWESOME prize for one of you ladies.

I know we talked about organization last month...but this prize made it to this month. I am a bit of a freak about my car, not as much as I used to be, as having 2 littles makes it difficult to be crazy about a tidy car and still have hair on my head. But I like having a place for everything where we can reach it. And if you recall our speaker from January, Susan Peterson, she gave us a list of NECESSITIES to keep with us at all times. If you remember that list was pretty hefty, especially for a family of 4 or 5 or 6!  I loathe having 6 bags of stuff randomly rolling around or in some cases flying around my car. Enter one of our moms, Vitalia, whom introduced me to 31bags! She saved my sanity and my car with this AWESOME XL utility tote:

You can win this tote by leaving us a comment here on the blog about your kiddos...we all know they say and do the funniest and most endearing things! Remember, if you cannot comment with your name hit the drop down box and click anonymous, be sure to leave your name at the end of the comment! You can earn extra entries by participating on our face book page too! For each valid post that embodies our tag line; Building Faith, Family, and Friendships; you create you can earn an extra entry and for each post you comment to you will earn an extra entry.

*All Entries must be made by March 14th. the winner will be announced on March 15th and you will receive your prize on March 15th at our meeting!

Thanks for playing!

  1. The other day when asked what game Tymorie was playing on my phone she said, "Texting."

  2. CASSANDRA ESTRELA: I've been working with Jacob about being a kind kid and he remembers a lesson learned is Sunday school that God wants us to ne nice. So any time there's an argument or someone isn't being nice, he kindly reminds them that God wants us to be nice. He enjoys his preschool prayer and has taught it to Cydney Brown.

  3. I have shared this story with a few of you but it's worth repeating. Awhile back I was recovering from a cold. I was sitting on the couch enjoying a warm cup of coffee with Sydney snuggling next to me when I began to cough. I said to Sydney, "Mommy is so "coughy" this morning". In the cutest little voice she replied, "Mommy maybe you drink to much "coffee" and if you stop maybe the coughing will stop too." I could not stop giggling....love that little girl!

  4. This is old, but when Cole was 2 1/2, he was certain baby Jesus lived IN Costco and ate hot dogs for lunch. They had the nativity set up in the store and we would get there and he would wail until we took our hot dogs down the isle to the nativity scene. When we would get there he would clap and yell "Yay, baby Jesus, Yay!" For over a year if you asked him where baby Jesus lived he would say "Costco and my heart." And if you asked him what baby Jesus did there, he would say "He eats hot dogs for lunch." LOVE this kid!

  5. OK, you need to know two things before you can totally appreciate this story...the first is that I have been breastfeeding pretty much non-stop for the past six years (three kids and got pregnant while I was still breastfeeding every time)so boobs are big in my house. Everyone likes them, thinks their interesting and wants to try to touch or play with them in some way. The second is that whenever my kids say they want something from a TV commercial or newspaper ad, I tell them that they should add it to their Birthday or Christmas list. Anyway, the other day, my four year old son Aaron was trying to play with my breasts yet again. I kept telling him no, that it's not appropriate and that they are for feeding babies. After awhile he became exasperated, laid his head down on my chest and asked me if I could "get him some stuffed breasts for his birthday"(because he loves stuffed animals). I know this may be a little to much information, but I thought it was hysterical and still laugh about it today.

  6. When my then five year old lost her first few teeth, my then three year old asked "When Colie looses all of her teeth will she turn back into a baby?" I live the way they think.

  7. Jace told me last night that he liked the hoagie roll in my hair. He said he thought it looked really pretty. I said "What is a hoagie roll? You mean my bun?" He said "yes, but I like hoagie rolls better than hot dog buns so I thought we could name it that instead".

  8. OK Figured it out:)
I love the things my kids say and my first born was hilarious all the time, my middle guy Grant (4) is usually my deep thinker. He's been all about "giving freely like Jesus" lately and he's pretty aware that there are some things that he just knows aren't right. Yesterday we were walking through a parking lot and saw some trash. He said "you know, I wish people wouldn't litter. It's Gods world and they're just messing it up. God did make birds though, and they litter all of the time because when they poop they just do it wherever they are. That's a MESS".

  9. When my oldest daughter (4) does things that aren't appropriate or things that she needs to be better with (e.g. brushing her teeth twice a day) we always tell her, "You need to work on that". Well, we recently stayed at a friends house out of town. Their two daughters share a room and were very excited to have a sleep over with my daughter. Unfortunately, my daughter doesn't like the idea of sleep overs just yet. Which is fine but it was a bit of a disappointment to our friends girls. When the father of the girls asked her why she didn't want to have a sleep over my daughter replied, "It's something I'm working on". It was pretty funny and sounded way to grown up to be coming out of her mouth : )
